CHARSIEW & ROASTED PORK RICE @ NEW RONG LIANG GE

This stall is located at the Rong Liang Ge 荣亮阁 kopitiam (Blk 269B Queen's Street, opposite Iluma Shopping Mall). It is popular for its charsiew, roasted pork, roasted duck and double-boiled soup.

I ordered the charsiew with roasted pork rice, at only $2.50. Cheap! Dark brown and black sauces were added to the charsiew and roasted pork. The combination was flavourful and not too sweet. The charsiew was tender and the roasted pork skin was crispy. The sweet sambal chilli made the food more delicious.

Not the best in town, but perhaps one of the cheapest around.
