BRAISED DUCK RICE @ BAN CHUAN COOKED FOOD

Ban Chuan Cooked Food 万全熟食摊 stall is located at Blk 724 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 (Central) Hawker Centre #01-19. It is popular for its braised duck rice, braised duck noodles and kway chap. I ordered a plate of braised duck rice (with an extra bowl of rice), with stewed eggs and braised pig's skin. The order came with braised peanuts and a bowl of duck herbal soup.

The brown rice (cooked with yam and dried shrimps) was well-cooked and added with the thick flavourful gravy. The braised duck meat was boneless and quite tender. It was delicious when eaten with the brown rice with gravy. The stewed eggs, braised pig's skin and duck herbal soup were good too. The chilli sauce was okay and had an interesting mixture of thin tart sauce and thick chilli paste.
